ToughTalks - Sexual Freedom & Sexual Health

Inspired by TedTalks, ToughTalks helps women express difficult topics in a safe and supportive environment. The intention of this workshop is to discuss tough topics relating to how women are forced to move through the world in regards to our sexuality and owning our sexual health. Engage with other women in the community to share and develop tools for emotional agility and immunity to drama and societal expectations.

This is an open forum; we want to know what we as women want to talk about, what we need, and how can we be the change?

Cost: $5 suggested donation

*No one turned away for lack of funds*

NTARUPT is a North Texas Alliance to reduce unintended pregnancy in teens who will be supporting our talk.

Discussion Questions

How comfortable are you with expressing yourself sexually with your partners or in general?

Do you often feel ashamed for your sexuality?

Men are encouraged to date around and have multiple partners. In contrast, women aren't. In addition to that, these discrepancies are also reflected across race. So we ask you, too many or not enough partners?

How did you learn about sex? When did you learn about masturbation or sex toys? Are you comfortable with these things?

What were some myths you were told about sex?

Do you have turn-ons, sexual habits, and desires that make you uncomfortable or may make other people feel uncomfortable?
