Early on New Year’s Eve morning, the Dallas School of Metaphysics welcomed the community of Dallas, Texas to the W.A.A.S. Gallery for twenty hours and twelve minutes of yoga, meditation, and art to welcome in 2012 with health and healing. Yoga began with Lisa Ware, a Reiki Master from Yoga 4 Love, who coached and guided her participants in exercises to connect their minds, bodies, and spirits. Yoga continued upstairs throughout the day, where the classes could remain uninterrupted by the music and live art taking place just outside of the gallery’s doors. The Just-Us League worked together to create stunning works of peace-themed art, followed by renowned artist Ro Diaz, whose painting is still at the gallery, for display and sale. Whether it be the fire-dancing with a motif of the elements, the strong insight from the Dallas School of Metaphysics, the continuous meditation, or the loving exchange of words and healing vibes, the air was undeniably filled with peace, and with healing. The event was made possible by the contributions of the Dallas School of Metaphysics, the W.A.A.S. Gallery, Unified Arts, the Just-Us League, Conscious Minds, Holy Komamcha, Fit Foods, Starbucks, Maggiano’s Little Italy, and yoga instructors Lisa Ware, Chinook, Jennifer Hensley, Heather O’Neil, and Jenny Parum.
